Four Easy Steps: taking your site live!
1. Generate an xml-sitemap (xml-sitemap.com).
2. Create a Gmail account with google.
3. Submit your sitemap to Google-Webmaster-Tools.
4. Set-up a Google Analytics account and you are on your way!

XML-Sitemap / Google Webmaster Tools
XML-Sitemap.com has a free-online sitemap generator that you can create and download. After generating a sitemap, you then submit this to Google via webmaster-tools and BINGO, your site will be indexed and you will be so much closer to being found on the internet.
Once the search engines begin crawling your site (the search engine robots, spiders is what they call them), they will continue to do so on a regular basis provided that you have done these steps to making it easier for them to explore your website and index the content on your pages!
Webmaster- tools is what gets it all started (or rolling as they say) to establish your presence on the internet. The instructions provided on both of these websites are fairly easy to follow.
Always remember that when you’re not sure how something works or where to find information, google-it to find the answer. There is a bit of irony in all of this because this is exactly how your potential- customer is going to find you and how You are going to define-your-customer.
