A killer FAQ page (slam-dunk)

The idea occured to me (lightbulb turns on) about having a Frequently Asked Questions page and how this could benefit a website in so many ways for the purposes of optimizing a website.

First, understand that you have to optimize your website to be “Customer Friendly and Search Engine Friendly”. Content, Navigation, and SEO are the three basic components that make up a website. An F-A-Q page provides all of the necessary elements to achieve these goals.

Let’s take for example, a question asked on rightonwebdesign.com:

How to add the html verification code for Google Webmaster Tools?

What I have done in this example, is created an Anchor Text Link (internally) on my website. This not only provides a solution for my customer (customer friendly), but also provides an internal link for Google (search engine friendly). The robots then crawl  the pages of  my website  to index my website in the SERP’s (search engine results pages).

stack of newspapers and magazinesTurn your posts/pages into articles

The copyright (content) on these pages that you created as a result of answering questions for your F-A-Q page can be used in the form of Articles. These articles can then be submitted and published on an Article Directory such as articlesbase.com. My advise is to  make sure that you give the article (post) on your website  a spin first, before publishing to the directory, so that the directory does not see it as Duplicate Content and will approve your article as being original.

Turn your  articles into Backlinks

Articles are good way to get Backlinks, as they will circulate on the web from other websites similar to yours using your content on their sites. Make sure to provide an Anchor Text link  back to your site within the article and in your author’s bio.
